Patricia Joseph

Past Chapter
President

Patricia Joseph received her Bachelors of Science in Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts and received her Masters of Architecture from SCI-Arc (Southern California Institute of Architecture) in Los Angeles, California. She is motivated and excited about creating and thinking within the three-dimensional space first.  She also serves her community through her participation with DAFCAL, CANstruction and her local church organization.

Alexander Person III

Chapter
President 2025-2027

As Chapter President of NOMA Colorado, Alexander works closely with the Executive team to leverage his ability to build trust, make difficult conversations easy and empower members to achieve their professional goals through the organization. He is also the Co-Chair of the Finance Committee which supports the implementation of our mission by tracking and analyzing the financial health of the Chapter and making recommendations necessary to meet the expectations of the Executive Board.  When he’s not progressing the mission of NOMA, Alexander is a project manager at a local branch of a national A&E firm. At SmithGroup, he excels in translating complex programmatic requirements into innovative architecture and urban design solutions.  On the weekends, you’ll find Alexander sharing his sense of adventure with his family, whether camping, motorcycling through the mountains or riding some pow. 

Flory Hamstra

Chapter
President Elect

Flory Hamstra is a  professional designer in the state of Colorado with knowledge and experience across various disciplines including architecture, urban planning, interior design and renewable energy. She currently works as a project manager for the solar company Independent Power Systems (IPS) located in Boulder, CO. Prior to IPS, Flory spent many years in the architecture industry and was involved in numerous projects in the Denver metro area and the front range. In addition to her work in the solar industry, Flory teaches undergraduate studio in the College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) at the University of Colorado Denver, where she graduated with a master of architecture (M.Arch) in 2011. She also sits on the college’s advisory board. Flory is a founding member of the National Organization of Minority Architects, Colorado Chapter — NOMA Colorado (established in 2020)

 

Jordan Taylor Miller

Chapter Vice President

Jordan Taylor joins the team with a background in Interior Design and strong passion for Event Administration and Communications. She currenly is an Interior Designer at MOA Architecture in Denver and enjoys all aspects of the design process. Her educational background involves a degree in Communication Studies from the University of Northern Colorado as well as a degree in Interior Architectual Design from Colorado State University. As a BIPOC designer Jordan Taylor hopes to use her personal experience and background in Communications to strengthen the Colorado Chapter. Utilizing design elements and architectural concepts, JT set a goal to elevate and inspire our NOMA members.

Jamie Park

Chapter Treasurer 

Jamie is a licensed architect at Anderson Mason Dale Architects in Denver, Colorado. With interest in community engagement and inclusive design, Jamie aspires to amplify underrepresented voices within the architectural profession. Jamie was first introduced to NOMA during college when she volunteered for Project Pipeline in New Orleans, and she’s been engaged with NOMA Colorado since its inception in 2020. As the Treasurer for NOMA Colorado, she oversees the chapter’s finances and supports all chapter initiatives and programs. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, kayaking, and exploring new cities, and she’s a co-author of a children’s book, Duck or Duct?

Haupt

Communications Director

Imani Haupt is an architectural designer, creative technologist, and community leader based in Denver, Colorado. With a deep passion for innovation, design equity, and education, she bridges the worlds of architecture, technology, and storytelling to create meaningful impact in the built environment. As Communications Director for NOMA Colorado, Imani drives initiatives that highlight the voices and achievements of diverse professionals while fostering collaboration and visibility within the AEC industry. Her work reflects a commitment to merging design excellence with social purpose—championing creativity, access, and the next generation of architects through advocacy, mentorship, and forward-thinking communication.

Ron Abo

Founding Colorado
Chapter President

Ron established his architectural practice in 1976 and he continues to practice as the principal architect for The Abo Group, Inc.  Ron has been past president of AIA Denver and AIA Colorado.  He is a former member of the State of Colorado Board of Licensure for Architects, Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors; past chair of the Asian Chamber of Commerce; and past chair of the Denver Asian Pacific American Commission.  Currently Ron is the President of the Board of Trustees for Savio House, a child welfare agency, a member of the Denver Lions Club and chair of the Wheat Ridge Building Code Review Committee.
